UPI is a public university whose main campus is located in the city of Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. Since 2012, UPI has been a state-run tertiary institution (PTP), changing drom its previous status as a state-owned legal entity (BHMN), tertiary institution.
UPI is tertiary institution that adopts a multicampus system with 6 campuses spread across two provinces namely West Java and Banten. The main campus of UPI is located on Jl Setiabudi 229, Bandung. While other campuses are located in Cibiru, Tasikmalay, Sumedang, Purwakarta, and Semarang.
Gardens and Miniature Tropical Forests. In its arrangement the gardens and miniature tropical forests are integrated entities. Taman Kebun is a part of UPI's botanical garden which can be used as a place to study, discuss and rest in an open environment. Then, the Tropical Forest Miniature is also part of the UPI botanical garden which is arranged like a forest in an area near the equator, which is a tropical region with a high abundance of biodiversity.
